What can we say? Thank you doesn’t seem to suffice, but THANK YOU! Thanks to your generosity, Team Neil was able to raise over $16,000 this year to fund the Neil Reich Memorial Scholarship. Over forty people rode together as Team Neil at the Five Boro Bike Tour held on Sunday May 4, 2014. The money raised has already funded four student scholarships. These recipients are students who just graduated from Richmond Hill High School. Below are some photos from the awards ceremony held on May 22nd. These students were selected by faculty and staff at the school where Neil worked for many years. Neil devoted his professional life to working with New York City’s public school students and always pushed them to work harder, continue learning, and pursue their dreams. By funding continuing education, these scholarships will help these young people to reach their goals.
This year’s Neil Reich Memorial Scholarship recipients are Mariely, Grisel, Gourav, and Ambar.
